Well, we all have our surmises. As long as they are not outlandish, that's politics.......

Interesting. You are voting your pocketbook as you see it. You feel the democrats will do more to protect you, your union and its power and your pension plan. I can't blame you for being concerned about your pocketbook. I don't believe either party will do anything to hurt your pension. The union would have more influence with the democrats but you will be taxed more, you will be more locked in to dependency on the union and the government. The Republicans will probably get the economy really smoking. People will have more money in their pockets, they will be buying more, hopefully very happy and productive. The bottom line, I think if you vote for Bush you will be reinforcing that America is truly the home of the brave and the free. You will pay less taxes. You will have many more options with the life of you and your family. I recently visited a local prison with a Kairos team. It was brought out that many people, after serving years in prison, feel it is home and prefer being there. Very strange but probably true. The same thing might happen to us. We want "big brother" running our lives. We send our money to them and then they build programs to send a bit of it back to us. But, that doesn't even seem like the America I dream of. I dream of the land of the free and the home of the brave and the land of opportunity. Not a central, micromanaging, wasteful government. Just a clear road for me. I hope you feel the same.
