No.

Most appraisals of RDRM that I have seen indicate that it does enhance to some degree the performance of microprocessors. That's not where people usually have a
problem with RMBS. Most people were galled by the cost of the memory and the tie-in with Intel which at one point almost guaranteed that everyone would be using and paying for RDRM.

However with the resurgence of AMD and its pushing of DDR, there is some hope that a less expensive alternative may be a possibility.
