**********Major Announcement*************
Hi everyone,
As you all know I've been very busy with the new DWA University and I'm happy to say it will be up next week. Since the University will hold some online classes we have constructed a new "classroom" in a message board format. It is very similar to the tree structure boards that you see out there on the web and anyone registered for DWA or the University can use it.

The University will have its own online classroom and it is free. There is no charge for being a student at DWA (you do have to register) through the online program. There is a separate board through DWA and will be for subscribers only (both individual and professional subscribers) - it is called PnFology.
Since I will be very involved with the University and its online classes (I'm also the teacher that is available through email) I will be concentrating my time over there.
I've changed the title of this thread to PifferChat since we will be concentrating on the education through the PnF University. Tommy is becoming increasingly busier and he wants to continue to be in contact with those that want to learn PnF. This effort will help in mitigating the 'ole burning the candle at both ends and stretched too thin scenario.

This all comes from our desire to educate investors. This has been our main goal from the beginning and we are always striving to improve. Tommy and I, as well as all the analysts at DWA, will be more available to you through this new method. :-) This will be an absolute discussion of PnF and investment themes. Other industry professionals that use PnF in their daily investment decisions are already discussing techniques and ideas. We will also in the future try to bring on guest speakers to enlighten us in our journey.

To find the University, go to the Dorsey Wright home page dorseywright.com (or if you are a subscriber you have seen the logo on the main page) and click on the PnF University. You will know you have reached the new version if the screen has a dark green background. Right now the old version is up - if you continue to see a picture of Einstein through next week (barring any announcements of delay) refresh your screen.

Hope to see you all taking some classes!

Jan I am

Oh, I'll still be announcing the get together stuff here etc. I've had a major mishap with my computer - it done died and I had to format everything again. I managed to save most of my email but I don't think the address book was saved. If anyone has the email I sent with everyone's address attached (for the Vegas get together) please send back to me. I'll send another test email.

Since I'm the teacher at the University I request ahead of time you don't send me apples. Apple stock maybe, but I don't want apples buzzing by my head whilst I'm trying to edjmacate.

It is still on Gilder report so the concept is right and fundamentals are right as dictated by his report.

Tommy,
though I appreciate what Gilder's report attempts to do, it is important to understand that he is looking for potential disruptive technologies. Just because a stock is in his report does not mean that the concept is right and that the fundamentals are there either. I believe that the way to look at Gilder picks is to understand that a low percentage of the technologies (and therefore stocks) will be real winners, but that the winners will be *big* winners. Lately though, a stock being put in the gilder report has made it a self fulfilling prophecy that it would be a good investment/trade because of the momo crowd. This shouldn't be confused with the company actually being successful.

Tom
