If the VIX was to move to the upside strongly and significantly break the wedge to the upside, I would say that the overall market was prone for a correction in light of the duration and size of the recent rally. Im not saying small break either that would move the VIX quickly to the mid-20's and onward to 30+. If there is only a small break and the VIX remained flat and stayed in the low 20's, then I would interpret that as validation of the up move.
