I've managed to accomplish the remarkable feat of losing substantial amounts of money twice in one year by going long on a stock that has risen more than 250% in that time frame. The only thing that could possibly top (bottom?) that would be to hold onto truckloads of OTM options for 8 months, have them expire worthless, and then have the stock rise well above the strike price less than two weeks later.
