Why does not the same rationale hold? Sure, these benchmarks are NOT the end all and the be all, but they send a powerful signal of what is possible with a system able to utilize Rambus' strengths properly.

Computers are for computation. The computational benchmarks on P4 appear to be a disaster. Having a high bandwidth bus is very clever, but meaningless if it doesn't improve the ability of the computer to do useful tasks.

Human nature -- only believe what you want to believe (we long's do it too, of course <G>). Nice to see that the bears are "human", though.

The same argument may hold for DDR, but we will have to wait and see on that, I guess.

Still waiting, are you? I would have thought that by now someone would have answered decisively your "where's DDR?" question. Guess not.
