Broadness of the rally across sectors and tiers of stocks indicates good momentum. Heavy volume indicates some panic buying. Leaders like AMCC, NUFO, AVNX and CIEN got stronger, but laggards with good stories are finally attracting interest (DITC, FFIV, BKHM).
Number of stocks more than 1 STD above their 200 SMA is flashing an overbought signal. This is looking like the same setup as for the sell off earlier this year in April.
Also the Dow Jones Utility index is making a 52 week high. Unfortunately, the transports are not confirming. In fact they are trapped in a trading range, with a current short termn downward bias. Caution is advised here.
