Yes, I was there and it was a hoot as Neo says. The place was absolutely packed, packed packed! We decided since the crowd was going to be so large to not take the whole family. So I went with my bud. One thing that surprised me was to see so many women hoopin and a hollering for Rush. There's a lot of fired up conservative women out there. :)

The helo swooped in and a few minutes later Rush, Bill Bennett and John Carlson were walking right beside us near the gate. Rush stopped and shook a few hands, then they all went up to the stage to get ready to speak.

We stood about 30 feet from the stage. Then at the end we walked up to shake hands. Bill Bennet was miffed that everyone had Rush's book but hardly no one had his. <gg> I told him he needed to write with more of a conservative message. He laughed pretty good at that one....

It really was a unique time. There was at least 40 thousand people there. Quite a Republican extravaganza!
