Rob,
Actually HTCH pre-announces about a month before the end the quarter quite a bit. And the pre-announcement usually has a strong effect on the DD vendors (for better and worse), given HTCH's dominant market share in suspensions.

However, this was NOT a very well kept "secret". It's been clear--insofar as these things are clear--that something was brewing, as the stock made a move from roughly 13/14 to 19 in the two or so weeks before the announcement. Someone already knew, for sure. In fact, if you go back a few weeks, you will see Tom wondering why the stock had moved from the 10-12 price range up to 13-15 on "no news". He couldn't account for it, and neither could I. So I sold. But buying CRUS at 18 and SSTI at 21 worked out pretty well, and I think that those two still have pretty good propects even after their nice moves, so I'm not moving back into HTCH. Even after its probable pull-back next week (barring more surprise 1 cent profit announcements from other DDs) to the 18/19 area after this surge.
