Thanks much for your thoughtful response. I will need to read it over a few times, but it certainly gives me and probably lots of other folks who lurk here a better perspective. As you say, one needs to watch them for a while, and that is what I have been doing. Unfortunately, my charting service does not have a built in fork generator, so I do it myself with a series of trendlines. That probably keeps me from drawing as many as you have mentioned, but I do find myself thinking of imaginary medians and tines coming off the reversal points and looking for where the market is in relation to them.

TO ALL: I have a problem with my computer email... I can't get into my email, a window pops up and says that either the disk is installed improperly or the memory is full... I don't use a disc to get into my email and I have plenty of memory... any ideas on what the problem may be will be greatly appreciated...<g> I'm using Outlook Express... TIA
