could that list be due to the fact that most of those companies are in their revenue cycle infancies?

I think in the case of JDSU, Furakawa owns enough shares (from a predecessor company) that they are considered an affiliate even though they don't in fact have any board representation or management participation. Insider sales probably include any affiliate sales.

Furakawa has been unloading shares the past 12 months on a pretty massive scale.
