I still think selling naked puts is safer for short term play. At worst you pick up the shares with your strike price, which should be lower than what you are willing to pay right now.

I often saw people saying they will pick up Q at this or that price if it goes that low. Then why not just sell the naked puts at that price?

It's all mental thing.
