The US is deployed in Bosnia. The United States will not serve under a foreign command, and I approve of that policy, but they perform services all the time. The table you gave me makes my point. There is roughly an average of 30 fatalities per commitment over a 50plus year period. Some of the commitments have lasted decades. And the bulk of the fatalities come from 3 or 4 conflicts, with many places yielding no fatalities. This is ordinarily light duty, comparable to a police force, not an army at war......
