I think the republicans were actually looking forward to Clintons veto with the hope that the masses are fed up with being taxed to death. I think you are right. The bill abolished the tax...fazed in in 10 years. The Dems had a bill that just raised the exemption...but it wasn't enough and still very controlling. Jim
