I hear you boobeleh. When you're a bit more comfortable with shorting you might get your feet wet with 50 shares, or 100 shares of a $20-30 stock. The QQQ's are kind of expensive, in the 90's, but you can always short 25 or 50 if you think the NASDAQ is due for a pullback...and you don't need an uptick...you can short at "the Market" and cover the same way...and of course you can put a buy-stop wherever you wish. Also, there are many shorts that needn't be daytrades...stocks that are in clearly defined downtrends where you don't need the trading room... and short-term "triggers" or alerts. I enjoy gthe trading room and I get ideas from Jenna and Jerry and other Gemmers...but I enjoy the old thread too...and could just as easily trade as before. Can't write much in the Trading Room.
