I seriously doubt that the NASDAQ will take out 5k in a few days. BUT...

I do not think it would be wise to place bets on this run ending anytime real soon. In all the more serious/academic works about the bubble, the authors make the point strenuously that "they" will throw everything at the bubble to keep it airborne.

As long as the dollar is fairly strong, inflation is perceived as non-threatening, the US economy is seen as strong, the credit/money machine keep burping along, and the derivatives market keeps most of the balls in the air, this can not end.

I would not be surprised to see 5500 on the NASDAQ before the election. Even then, I will probably only have the second 1/3 of my parachute. I will be saving the other 1/3 for the unspeakable.
