at least we know what our fearless thread leader, Allen Benn, sounds like

Yes and he obviously thinks the Sony win is more important for WIND than just another customer.

How I interpreted what he was saying: if a company like Sony with big brain power invested in their home-grown embedded software is switching (even if only partially at the present time) to WIND's embedded solutions, this is indicative of what will be happening with other companies with home-grown embedded solutions.

I guess he felt the management could not blow their own horn on this, so he did.

hope i got it right. they are predicting $.50 in 2001 and + 30% to $.65 2002. the main thing i liked was their relationship with sony and also interactive tv. the place to be. also wind claims customers will buy the complete package from wind rather than put together a hodgepodge of parts from seperate vendors. worked for ibm. rocky

Ramsey, I heard Allen on a cc back in '96 and I vividly recall the high degree of PASSION he expressed about WIND!

We've been through tough times with this stock since then, but vindication is coming. The nobles and peasants no longer kowtow before the Emerald Throne, and Chairman Fiddler is leading his ragtag band on the Long March through the high snowy peaks of the Wind River range to the fertile valleys beyond.

Hello Ramsey,

Just finished listening to the CC. It's still not the killer quarter that I was looking for, but all signs are clear that we are about to go into hyper earning growth. I2O may not be ready yet, but TMS and smart clients are the growth engine in the next few quarters.

Yes, it was a pleasure to hear the leader's voice.
