The last time AMD processor-based computer systems were featured as a "Today's Special," HSN sold more than 13,000 700MHz AMD Athlon(TM) processor-based systems in one day.

Wow! I would never have dreamed that many. Do they give you a running total as they are sold? I think I'll have to watch that channel once in a while.

Andreas - RE: "Duron 750 on Saturday on HSN"

I was flipping and saw it just now. The system is selling for $1678, but HSN says it has a "retail" value of $3300. Maybe that is how they sell so many computers, by lying to their customers. No normal desktop systems nowadays retail for $3300, let alone Duron systems (if you can even find a Duron system...). I didn't see how many were sold, I couldn't handle the crap they spewing anymore. ;)

I wonder if AMD will have any REAL OEMs with the Duron 750 launch...
