I think most of what you see now is short covering along with retail buying + more short selling. MM's upticked EVERything on 100 share buys today, even though I saw heavy selling in many of the issues I tracked today. That's the reason, IMO, for the heavy volume today. Pull up any log on a high flyer and you will see huge blocks. I don't think institutions are buying at these levels, with the COMPX already up 13% for the month. Besides, it's the last day of the month, a lot of window dressing going on. This is a typical historic pattern though. 1st 2 weeks of Sept will be very rocky, IMO. Resistance @ 4275, so I will short on the way up to that mark. KM
