Sarmad, imo the difference between the new economy thread and this one (now) is that over there people at least try to understand what they are buying. Here they don't, they just "jump on board" and any fundamental analysis consists of posting a press release. In every sector hyped or not there are going to be winners and losers and why not pick the winners or at least try to? You can get fundie info on the new economy thread but not here.

And any news is irrelevant. The news re
amzn has been the same fore-ever.

Sarmad,

I disagree. I mean Amazon claims to have emailed their customers about their new privacy policies. They consider me a customer although I never buy there. I did not receive an email either:-( Maybe this was a warning on an email to come.

My point is this is real fundamental changing news that should add or subtract billions in market cap. I just do not know if it should be up or down <VVBG>

Hi Sarmad, let me answer this "This guy Jon (I hope that's not you with altered spelling!) complains that nobody talks about AMZN" first:

First, I am a #1 fan of the first amendment regarding posting here(with the consideration of the SI guidelines which is an enforceable private contract before the two parties).

But I also like to have common sense. Members here generally have an implied right to expect or hope to find the majority of the posts under the "Amzn thread title" to be relevant.

I always respect your judgment and opinion coz you are genuine. I don't like pretending! Anyway, it was a nice and happy morning and I was trying to get you to change your mind about something....I should not have... Best, Jan.
