Hi Joe, yep I owned a bunch of ECGO a couple of years back. I bought around 8 on the way up averaged up some more around 10-12. She peaked out around 15. They badly missed earnings the last quarter of '98, and really bungled their attempted take over of Dominion Bridge. I unloaded everything between 6 and 10 on the way back down. Maanagement got in over their heads. Way to much leverage, too much debt.

Yep, valuable lesson learned. It was a really aggressive play for me that could have made a lot of money since ECGO was so cheap to begin with. But management really blew it. I was smart/lucky to get really pissed off and sell all of my ECGO after realizing that the CEO was in way over his head and didn't really know what was going on.

They had a really nice core business, sad to see them file for bankruptcy.

Glad to see you doing well!

Mark
