I have a soft spot for The Honeymooners, but the truth is, it doesn't wear well. You may have something on the raw laugh scale, although that is not the only thing relevant to judging a sitcom. You are totally off- base about Taxi, although Jim was wonderful. I am surprised that the humanity of the thing, the essential sympathy with which it dealt with the tribulations of the cabbies, didn't mean more to you. On the laugh out loud scale, probably the best sitcom of all times was Get Smart........
