well, numismatic is generally what's not post ww2. however, special editions, or coins with extremely small mintage with newer dates can also become numismatic coins. i personally am specifically buying German and Austrian coins with the odd RSA or US/French/Italian coin thrown in.
numismatic coins (i.e."old" coins) need to be of a reasonably high grade.

it's not that cold yet...in an emergency i could go collect wood in a nearby forest...-g-
