No, I liked Seinfeld most seasons. Seinfeld was not quite a typical sitcom. It was more of a satire. But, like most sitcoms, it was ultimately indulgent to the foibles of its principal characters, and left you feeling like they were pagan gods, endlessly playing at games like children without a care........I like Sanford and Son, too, for the sort of reasons you mention. But it was fairly crude in construction, was played very broadly, and relied on schtick too much......
