Reasons for my vacation . . . . from the Porch are as follows-- 1) Qualcomm 2) QCOM 3) The Q 4) The Mighty Q 5) Nokia 6) CDMA 7) wCDMA (always a little "w" until its merits are proven!) 8) GSM 9) Snyder 10) The inexistence of a IR Department at Qualcomm, QCOM, The Q, or The Mighty Q. My vacation has not been imposed by conflict on the Porch. In fact, three of my closest friends on the Porch are Bonnie, Tom, and Frank. That makes me the Director of Diplomacy on the Porch. I hope to do a better job in that capacity than in my previous position as VP, Director of Public Relations, Qualcomm (QCOM, The Q, The Mighty Q). It's worth preserving. ...dedicated to affection for Voltaire and created as a place for him to share his insights about life and investing After stumbling upon the Porch, I was impressed by the generosity of the individuals here, willing to share their investing knowledge and experience to help others. I appreciate all the discussions which have raised my investing IQ, particularly Voltaire's CC Philosophy. It has truly CHANGED MY LIFE. A precious gift to me (and others) from Voltaire. It is deeply appreciated. The sharing of life experiences is a dimension of the Porch unparalleled on the 'typical' investment board. Another reason I have enjoyed reading and participating in this adventure. I have learned that you may never get the opportunity to return a favor to the individual who has helped you, but that you can in turn help someone else. I'm looking for my chance...
