Joe, I hope the 512K, 1M and 2M Mustangs make it out starting 11/15. No one has ever built a CPU with 512K L2 or more that ran as fast as the ones with 256K.

The fastest Xeon 512K and 1M are at something like 700 MHz I believe so I would consider it very, very major if AMD can do it.

Who cares about SMP. These chips would sell like hotcakes to the Internet server world using clustering rather than SMP. Someone quoted M$'s new Win2K server prices and they are based on the number of CPU's not the number of motherboards. Ergo, you might as well cluster and get better performance.

Jozef:

There's an old saying that has stood the test of time...Plan the work, then work the plan...AMD is scoring straight A's in its commitment and execution of this old adage...One year out, if the past year's superb execution is any indicator, AMD'll have a very real "here and now" presence in the server/workstation space...and what's more the "doubting Thomas" analysts will probably become AMD believers as they now have facts to build upon owing to AMD's stellar evolution over the past year...Once again, we're verging on a period of major revaluation in AMD share price, imho!!!
