If Larry H lost to Hector, there should be an immediate permanent replacement upon LH's departure to ensure stability in that group.

Instead, Hector took over on interim basis and that move suggests 3 things.

1. Hector is clean in LH's departure.

2. Hector's temporary took over is the best option for AMD to minimize PR damage resulting from LH's sudden departure.

3. LH fought with someone else, most likely his current subordinate who receives and deserves more supports from AMD's upper management.

I can think of no one better than Jim Doran.

If we really get Doran as LH's replacement, the stock should jump 5 points to celebrate.
