hugh:

In the near to intermediate term, the entire ballgame in selling DSL gear is coming down to the answer to one simple question: Who is your customer? Do you sell to ILECs or CLECs?

ILECs have cash flow; CLECs don't, and therefore need outside financing from either their vendors and/or Wall Street. Folks such as TLGD and WSTL, who sell primarily to the RBOCs, will do better than others such as TSTN and CMTN, who don't.
