It was slightly worse than a 60 PE, like 70+ or so I think, because their accounting practices were different than US. Still makes the current state of affairs look manic.

Yep, and they were the economic miracle because they invested for their grandchildren and never sold... so the high valueations made sense, especially in real estate...

at least for a while.
