Looking at the table, it looks like the results were a collection of results submitted by different people. That explains the different OSs and probably means varying configurations, also. Not a real clear comparison.

You sure about this? I thought that the same memory protections that made NT stable also, other things being equal, also made it slow. I know this is true for 3d games.
