Intel, IBM, Others to Open Lab for Linux Software

To me plans like this on Linux are good publicity but are not likely to make any technical difference in Linux. This is to say Linux will continue to improve on all fronts. But more pr means more will try sooner. On yahoo this story linked to sgi because of leaking nt o-ring rocket man.

Now Mr. rick ran with the sgi nt plan which indicated to me he did not have a technical clue. But he by this stories account is one of the key men at msft. hmmm... I don't think I be buying any of bill's stock.
