WOW! That new roadmap has some new info in it:

All three processors share a common core, with a number of new features and departures from the
first generation Athlon. Most notable among these is the addition of larger amounts of L2 cache.
Also, the core has been tweaked for greater clock speeds, by shrinking the die area and adding 2
or more stages to the Athlon first gen's short 10-stage pipeline
. Additional 3DNow! instructions are
also included, improving speed on supported FP, ALU, and DSP applications. More important for the
mobile market, however, is the reduced power consumption and heat dissipation provided by the
second-gen Athlon.


I hope they are right about the clock speeds of Mustang. I just can't control my enthusiasm about this stock. The Intel -Via thing has me worried, though.
