Excellent posts, BigBull. Do you have any thoughts on what it will take to direct more capital into such "old economy" facilities such as petroleum refineries? Even with this situation staring us in the face, equity positions in such operations haven't been well treated as of late. This leaves me wondering why managements would want to run out and borrow money to upgrade and/or build new refining capacity. In fact, it seems that our beloved federal administration has issued a stern warning not to do this as they don't intend to allow a good return on capital invested in this manner. Could a "crisis" straighten out some of the thinking out there. That has a real odd ring to it. IDUNNO.. I'd be surprised if, in due course, we didn't hear of other such problems in "old economy" industries. This wasn't supposed to happen in our great "new era", was it? Regards,
