Good morning..
Wstera, this is a little late to follow up,but I do agree that there can / should be some standards, and, on a board like this,I think that standards against personal attacks are not out of place. No argument there.Presumably we all have the same goal, making money by having our particular stock go up; I wouldn't expect the shorts, competitors, etc to show up with the " Your mother is..." and "I am sleeping with..." etc.

And, you are right in that not all constitutional rights carry over to private life. You still have to follow the rules of your employer, for instance, even though there may be a conflict with one can do or say in one's private life. I suppose the best example of this is the military. I dunno, maybe it is a matter of personal tolerance. Whatever was said didn't conflict with my happiness. In fact, since it gave my fingers something to say in response, maybe it added to my pursuit. Anyway, yeah, community standards aren't necessarily bad , and, the smaller the community, the more focused the restrictions can be. I don't know if that came out the way I wanted it to, but what I am trying to say is that standards in NYC or SF or LA are necessarily looser than those at a gated community, which, I guess, is why some people live in gated communities, and certainly why I live out in the hills :)
