<< Just look at their new IDF coverage: They propose to drill extra holes in your PC case just to use the new P4 from Intel. Their review will probably be an Intel lovefest... The fact that a customer has to buy a new board, a new CPU, a new case, new RAM and a new power supply just to upgrade his P3 to a P4 is a serious issue that should have been mentioned. >>

If that's the most serious p4 issue, sell your AMD stock now. I believe well over 90% of computer owners never crack open the case. Of the 10% most probably will never upgrade the processor. Also, anyone switching to AMD will have to go through those same challenges. AMD certainly hasn't done any better with their upgrade path. You can't even upgrade the old athlon to the new athlon and it's only been out a year. At least you could use slot 1 for several years. Slot A lasted about 9 months.
