I find the tone of your note very condescending. There is no reason to be that way. Comments such as:

Why let your ego stand in front of financial gain? ...
I'd be willing to bet that your investment returns would be much better if you weren't so stubborn.


do not serve any purpose. Contrary to your calling me stubborn, I covered my position and have admitted this was a bad call. If I were stubborn, I'd be down $10/sh right now <bg>. I do not know anyone who bats a thousand in the market. Also, you really don't know my investment style, returns, etc. So it's presumptuous to make such statements.

The market is an interesting vehicle. People put money based on their opinions (informed or otherwise), knowledge, beliefs, emotions, etc. I like your suggestion about buying puts. Actually, today I was looking at writing naked March '01 $100 calls for $11.25. I'll let the board here know if I do so.
