"Took the initiative in creating the Internet" sounds like something beyond hyperbole to me.....I can well imagine that he thought people would take it fairly literally. What do they know? Besides, it is not the only occasion when he has made bizarre and essentially hollow claims for himself. He used to claim combat experience, until it was proven false; he claimed to have been an "investigative reporter" with a record of putting crooks away, until that was proved false; he claimed that Love Story was based on himself and Tipper, until that was refuted by the author; he claimed to be responsible for exposing Love Canal, and that was proven false........
