We go thru about 500lb of bird seed a year. That is the extent of our wild feeding. No Fur garments in this house either. Love the wild life and really would like to keep that way. Wild. Don't know what the quail are going to do if we ever move.

Racoons....name comes from the Algonquian...Something to the effect...' arahkunem.'..means "The washer"...or "he who scratches with his hands"...from observing them hunt in stream beds...they feel about with their hands looking for tasty morsels......One needs to exercise some measure of caution around these guys...there is a cycle of rabies that runs through the population every few years...you can catch it through contact with the saliva...no bites necessary..........nasty disease That
