Arkay you, a new kid on the block, seem bent on picking a fight with the board--seems like based on cultural and
perhaps other of your personal belief systems which I
might even agree with in some respects-- but Abhor your
arrogance and manners.

Mark has been here a long, long time, and has had some
intelligent discussion about Swift. I don't mind if he
occassionally mentions something OT.

I have not yet seen one single contribution but blather
from you. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder and an ugly demenor-- If you want anyone here to listen to you,
please keep it civil, tolerant, and focus on Swift.
There are probably only about 10-20 serious contributors
to this board, so If we all decide to put you on block
out, only the lurkers will see anything you have to say.

Get cool or sell your Swift to me and leave.

arkay- OT-

Truth said it better, but I'd like to add my two cents. Your claim that the Brits spawned slavery throughout much of the planet would be laughable if one didn't realize you thought you had something worth listening to. Slavery was invented long before the Act of Union, the Magna Carta, or the Invasion of Normandy, so the British hardly spawned anything with regard to slavery (ever hear of a book called Exodus?). Slavery has been countenanced by many societies throughout history. As a matter of fact, I think the Brits were the first modern government- perhaps the first ever- to effectively outlaw slavery, which I believe they did around 1820. (With that legacy in mind, I sometimes wish George Washington et. al. had been obliged to high-tail it to Mexico!).

I see that intellectual precision is not exactly your long strong suit. Babbling idiocies appears more up your alley.
