In my opinion, volatile high PE stocks can move in directions that are totally unpredictable to the investors who know the companies well and own their stocks. The price action shown by the intraday chart on the day of the recent EMLX hoax is a good example. I also see some of the tactics used in these situations being reported more and more in the media.

I think we all have to remember the lesson there are traders out there looking for a five dollar a day difference. I speculate that on a given day that activity has more of an impact on the stock price than news.
