It never occurs to me to wonder who wrote a song’s lyrics, even after I found out that Barry Manilow didn’t really write “I Write the Songs.” Even though the lyrics say right in there that he writes the songs! Sort of an eye-opener, and the first seeds of doubt and mistrust in sewed in an impressionable young mind. By the way, Barry Manilow should never be mentioned on the Curmudgeon thread.
