I believe there is something to it. Assuming roughly similar intelligence, A students would be grinds, with few extra curricular accomplishments or social skills; the B students would be better rounded, but lack a commitment to networking; and the C students would be the clubbable ones, the ones who had the best contacts to put together a deal.........Of course, if the C student is brilliant and can't pull a B average, he is a screw off, and if the A student is brilliant, he might have time for socializing......

There's a great book called "The Millionaire Mind" that I'm about halfway through that addresses this subject. If you have the time, it's worthwhile reading.knc
