Welcome back Edwin. Yup you were the lone voice here on the subject of Coastal Caribbean, as I was on MO and CNC. I expectedly did absolute nothing on your lead as small oil plays are foreign to my scheme of cosmos. But I will view your next tip differently.

I hold 26% of my peak holdings of 9984, having sold more than half back when I bought warrants in replacement and quarter back in January and April when the 9984 market became liquid again. Traded some back and forth since January nothing to shout about as the empire melted away, and the Maui ranch shrivelled to a two room tin hut in Saipan. Net net, added some shares between April and now, and intend to add some more 9984 on Monday to be held only until xmas/new years parties, or the US election result (that is how much is at stake as you guys vote, responsibly, no doubt. I do not know what responsibly means – Gore or Bush).

My mind is beginning to tell me to make outsized bets, but only hold to xmas/new years, starting with buying SFE. Wary about October, a month driven primarily by news media reciting predictable ancient history.

The sky is beginning to look beautiful again, and the ocean friendly even during a #3 typhoon storm. Holidays are beginning to be scheduled, first up is Badian Island (Philippines) in October week #1 where wife wants to be certified for scuba diving. While I still do not hear music in my head as I walk the streets of Hong Kong as I did back last fall/winter, I am beginning to hear music when I sit at my geewhizbangsupergizmomegatron PC hooked to PCCW’s Ultraline ADSL (I am also changing my mind about PCCW). But then again maybe it is the www.mp3.com radio station content being bumped through to the four Boston Acoustics speaker-lets and outsized sub-woofer that makes me hear music in my head. The Sub-woofer is under the desk at my feet and I feel the air rushing about down there driven by the magnets. The Caribbean music station makes me think that I am sitting under a thatched roof beachside bar. The Mediterranean stations made my in-laws want to travel the region and cook with olive oil.

My non-tech father-in-law commented that this is indeed a revolution. Got my in-laws a slightly more powerful PC set up as mine at one-third the cost of only 7 months ago. Mom in-law wants to videoconference with son living in Europe, take distance learning university courses, and check out travel destinations. All are activities never contemplated before. In-laws are haggling over in which room the PC should be set up.
