IMO that's a good trade, Search. Particularly if it's in an IRA. <g>

For Greg M:

My first stock purchase was in the 1960s. And I too am bearish on Juniper Networks (as I am on Cisco, btw). And I will tell you why.

1. Juniper has had the high-end market pretty much to itself this year. To their credit, they perceived the bandwidth need sooner than Cisco and deserved their success. But the next 6-12 months may be a different story, with competition in beta or shipping product. Just maybe, that will affect their ability to continue to gain such huge percentages in market share in the future.

2. I have not done the research or DD, but just wondering: what do you suppose the multiple (sales or earnings, take your pick) was for Cisco back at the time when they had about the same revenues as Juniper currently? I know, I know...it's a new era.

IMO Juniper stock price will be flat, at best, over the next 6 months. And I think that shorting and writing covered puts OTM will be very profitable.
