David alltel is using phone.com's minibrowser....if you were to read this news release alltel.com you might get the impression that phone.com was providing the same thing as infospace....what they don't say in this news release is that to get all that same information it requires all the extra work of keeping the minibrowser text of the pertinent website loaded ..... that ends up slowing it down terribly....when infospace sends data the data packets are much smaller limited solely to the information you want (maximum 120 characters) so that makes it much easier, faster and in theory more reliable.
