I think it's criminal the way unions steal dues to pay for candidates which many of the union members don't support.

If they want to support political candidates, such as the ones running for President, seems to me the least they should do is attempt to balance it according to a reasonable estimate of vote from the rank-and-file members. Instead of the one sided (always liberal Democrat) running for President methodology.

Additionally, union leaders should get permission from each member of the rank-and-file before using their union dues for political purposes. And they should sign a form dictating which party (if any) gets the endorsement.

Taking a members union dues and sending it to a candidate the member doesn't support is nothing but theft.

Michael

<<What a crock. Union membership continues to fall and is still only in the low teens.knc >>

Cat went from union to non union. Ok, there is a few union guys who haven't had a pay check in 5 years with signs in their yards. Basically Cat's offer was so high that when the Union turned it down all the positions got filled. $18 per hour for a floor sweeper? Still have the SCAB signs. Them that have the signs are broke. Them that are working are pulling in $50 large a year.
