I am long on VLNC (and on WAVC). I think there are good reasons for both of them. DW picks good stocks, but I remember bad calls as well (ALIF, ANTS). However, he is long on hype short on substance. Worth reading anyway. But do your own DD.

Chisy,
You asked: Have you remained bullish?

This Wolanchuk is a strange duck, very charismatic and very quotable. However, I am not entirely skeptical of the man, he has a track record and a following and is not to be dismissed. I had never heard of him when I invested in Valence. When Fred mentioned the name, I listened to one 900# call and came away with the impression that he was hung over or had been hit over the head. I was told that this is his "style". Generally, I agree with his philosophy of investing; bet on the upstarts, bet on the right ones and that is where the future and the rewards are. He seems to have insights in this area. He says he is a wave theorist, etc but wonder if he is totally forthright about this. His track record is best when predicting trends. His timing(!) seems to be very squishy and lately he has backed off, saying that timing of certain trends is difficult to predict, but that it's going to happen. I actually agree with the latter on many specifics. I think that commodities will eventually rise in price. The supply is finite and the potential demand is bound to grow at unsustainable rates. This is a very simple concept to grasp. Timing requires some work. Wolanchuk has not been alone in incorrectly predicting a timeline. Wallstreet is proof. If I had the chutzpah to start a website, I could have gone on record for some startling predictions. I said the Asian crisis would blow over and it did. Got lots of those. I am now saying this is not a sustained bear market. However, I won't get any recognition without a following like Zeev(G). Don't care. As for Zeev, he will amend the record as required(GG). Wolly will change the subject. I can't do this sort of thing, so I'm forever on the sidelines, heh, heh. I'm straying a bit here. Yes, I remain bullish on Valence and bemused by Wolly.
