One for the List of reluctant Messiahs: Another for record , was the "Siddartha Tour" ,in the yr 351 BCE.... Siddartha Gautama stopped for 2 weeks on his journey from Nepal to India, and gave the famous Sermons on the Mt... *more humans than ever before in the history of the world gathered in one place to hear the teachings of just one man. another "reluctant messiah" , LOL! ...asked manytime are you a "deahead"...i always gave the reply: ------>"whatever gets them huggin and kissin" , is just alright with me! Amazing record , tho, for the shear numbers of people that flocked to those shows , how free of incidents they were. There were the great "vendor-crack-down" years , followed by the crowning final acceptance of the Dead & and followers , as a Cultural American Beauty...a rite of spring and rite of passage, and something to have been experienced...Kids just on "On the Road" , and learning their lessons. never forget in later days at the prime...maybe 1990-91, they were playing in New York. One NYC cop on the beat was asked how were the kids behaving ... he replied: "These kids? These kids are wonderful ! If i didn't have to work ....I would be at the show myself tonight !
