I bought a slug of calls on them at the beginning of March. The following earnings report was lackluster, and I watched them expire worthless in May.

You should avoid the risk associated with short-term options. <g> No wonder you are down on WIND.

Actually, I own a slug of GMST and quite a bit less WIND. But I am intrigued that Kevin Landis has been plowing dough into WIND. He has more often been correct.

>>Why don't you forget the comparisons to gmst and present a case for wind? Thursday's report showed revenue growth of 39% YOY. When do you think that will reach Tornadic levels?<<

I'm skeptical that we'll see that kind of hypergrowth in terms of revenue/earnings. WIND's primary competition is against in-house "roll-your-own" technology in companies with deep pockets (such as Sony), as opposed to head-to-head competition against equal rivals. At this point I think the company has to sacrifice revenue and profit to gain that market share. I hope for gradually increasing margins and business volume as the company arrives on Main Street. (However, I'll gladly accept 100% revenue growth if it happens!)

I'm sorry to hear about the loss on your calls. To some extent I tried to temper the over-enthusiasm about WIND here earlier this year. The company is digesting a major merger, and I have not been expecting earnings blowouts. WIND has a long range plan to merge two separate operating systems, and this will cost time and money.
