Dear calypso: Yes I did see the game. The defense got down the second half but I wasn't too impressed with the first half 'D'. But I feel that was to be expected. It seemed like nodody was picking up the tight ends all game long and the one they threw to a back coming out of the backfield , was totally blown coverage; but i.e. they blew coverage on the next series on Andre Davis and gave one back to us . They were really picking on #24 Whittacker all day long too, and I feel he played as well as he could. Thursday night will be the test, away game etc. ESPN . Beamer said they were a little out of shape but imo the kicking game looked good and the 'D' played good in the second half. Vick was in top form so if someone should be quivering in fear right now I believe it should be East C. gregor

heck of a way to move up to #2. Many thanks to Miami. Our punter looked so bad today Beamer got the LB Ben Taylor in to punt in the second half. He boomed a 42 yarder and no return. Temples defense was awesome; on a good note VT's defense looked more like the confident 'D' of years past. They literally stopped a great running back and a potent rushing and passing offense today. Nice to see Hawkins the 2nd string full back catch that 40 yarder for a TD. I love that play. The offense turned the ball over all day long to the defense in bad field position. Looks like we have a lot of work to do before Thursday night. I'll be out there tailgating by 6pm........gregor
